Discover Your Skin Type! A Gentle Self-Check Course

Discover Your Skin Type! A Gentle Self-Check Course

【Understand Your Skin Type! Gentle Self-Check Course】

1. What is "Skin Type" Anyway?

(Diagram ①: Skin Type Check Guide)

Skin type is determined by the balance of moisture and oil levels. Broadly, there are

  • Normal
  • Dry
  • Oily
  • Combination
  • Sensitive
five types (Diagram ①). It changes with birth, seasons, and age, so it's important to review it regularly.

2. Easy 3-Step Self-Check

 (Diagram ②: Tissue Test Procedure)

Step

Method

Points

① One-Hour Test After Face Wash

Wash face only → Wait for one hour without applying anything, observe skin condition

Tightness = Dry / Shine = Oily

② Tissue (Oil Blotting Paper) Test (Diagram ②)

Gently press the entire face, observe the oil absorption

No oil stain = Dry, Fully soaked = Oily, T-zone only = Combination

③ Symptom Checklist

□ Feels dry in the evening □ Visible pores □ Makeup easily smudges…

The more characteristics you match, the more it indicates your skin type

Judging by combining all three reduces discrepancies.

3. Skin Type Profiles & Care Tips

Skin Type

Main Signs

Basic Daily Care

Normal

Not concerned about dryness or oiliness, less visible pores

Morning and night → Mild face wash + toner + lotion / Adjust moisture level according to season

Dry Skin

Tightness, flaking, fine lines, makeup floating

Moisture is key! ① Amino acid-based face wash ② Apply moisturizing toner 2-3 times ③ Seal with cream containing ceramide or shea butter

Oily Skin

Excess oil, shine, acne, makeup smudging

Hydration + Remove excess oil ① Morning lukewarm water face wash is okay ② Alcohol-free toner ③ Light gel moisturizer ④ Use oil blotting paper during the day by pressing only

Combination Skin

Shiny T-zone, dry U-zone

Targeted care T-zone: Oil control toner / U-zone: Layer high-moisture cream

Sensitive Skin

Redness, irritation, fluctuation due to pollen or dryness

Low irritation + Barrier strengthening ① Amino acid face wash ② Alcohol and fragrance-free toner ③ High ceramide content moisturizer

4. Skin Type Changes! - How to Deal with Seasons and Age -

  • Early Spring/Pollen Season: Barrier function easily declines → Strengthen sensitive care
  • Rainy Season to Summer: Increase in sweat and oil → Add oily care
  • Autumn to Winter: Decrease in humidity → Add dry care
  • Late 20s: Decrease in moisture retention → Tendency towards dryness

If you feel "It might not suit me anymore...", do a self-check again!

5. Summary

  1. Objectively determine using the three methods: one-hour post-wash, tissue, and symptom chart
  2. Knowing your skin type clarifies item selection, application amount, and order
  3. Skin changes with the environment — Check "the current me" each season
